As far back as I can remember I've loved cooking and baking. Some of my earliest memories are in my Grandma Pat's kitchen whipping up something delicious. She was the most incredible baker- everything she created was delicious and beautiful. While I did not inherit her artistic ability - my decorating skills are severely lacking - I think that I do her memory justice in my baking, especially at Christmas time. Anytime life is getting overwhelming, or I feel I need a break - a great kitchen escape can always relax and center me. As much as I love creating new things, I also love getting to see the joy it brings others when they take that first bite.
